 Subject:  Bizarre statements by Commissioner Hahn

On 12 July 2018, Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn said at an event on the prospects of EU enlargement in the western Balkans: ‘If there is an agreement between Greece and Albania, because this is about border restructuring, this will be very important and crucial for the citizens’.

Will the Commission say:
1. On the basis of which data and information were these statements made?
2. What kind of discussions does the Commissioner have in mind in making these bizarre statements?
3. Can Commissioner Hahn and the Commission explain these statements without delay?
