Question for written answer E-005503-18
to the Commission
Rule 130
Markus Ferber (PPE) , Markus Pieper (PPE)

Subject:  Reducing bureaucracy in the posting of workers
 Answer in writing

The posting of workers is one of the cornerstones of the freedom of movement for workers. Because of the different ways countries implement Enforcement Directive 2014/67/EU, small and medium-sized enterprises are having an increasingly difficult time meeting the patchwork of requirements this has created. Furthermore, SMEs fear even more legal uncertainties because of the Posting of Workers Directive that was recently passed. Could the Commission therefore answer the following questions:

What action does the Commission plan on taking to reduce the bureaucracy involved in the posting of workers, and will it ensure that the Enforcement Directive is proportionately implemented by Member States?

Does the Commission plan on submitting guidelines for implementing the recently adopted Posting of Workers Directive?
