E-006127/2018(ASW)
Answer given by First Vice-President Timmermans on behalf of the European Commission
Question reference: E-006127/2018

The Commission does not hold information pointing to breaches of the principle of the separation of powers or issues in relation to judicial independence in Spain.

The Commission has no reasons to doubt that the right to a fair trial as guaranteed by Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Article 47 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights will be respected in Spain.
