Recognition of EU citizens' diplomas in Switzerland

There have been several cases in which EU citizens working in Switzerland have had their professional qualifications from their home countries rejected. It is unacceptable for Switzerland to refuse to recognise high school and university qualifications gained by EU citizens in specific areas, such as healthcare.

I would therefore like to ask the Commission:

What agreement governs the recognition of diplomas and qualifications between the EU and Switzerland?

Have there been any recent changes that have had a significant effect on long-established practices?
