Question for written answer E-000837-19
to the Commission
Rule 130
Liadh Ní Riada (GUE/NGL)

Subject:  Irish Green, Low-Carbon, Agri-environment Scheme payments
 Answer in writing

Payments to eligible farmers under the Green, Low-Carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme (GLAS) have been affected by delays and backlogs in Ireland.

Is the Commission concerned by the impact that these delays are having on farmers and their families?

Is it concerned that the environmental objectives of the scheme are being undermined by these delays?

How will it address the issue of payment delays with the Irish Government?
