E-001468-19
Question for written answer E-001468-19
to the Commission
Rule 130
Liadh Ní Riada (GUE/NGL)

 Subject:  Retail
 Answer in writing

Is the Commission aware that some large clothing and footwear multinationals are refusing to supply longstanding independent retailers in favour of a small number of international retail chains, despite the independent retailers having met sales targets over a number of decades?

Does it believe that this constitutes anti-competitive behaviour?

Will it endeavour to ascertain the scope, impact and legality of this practice and make a statement on the matter?
