E-001576/2019(ASW)
Answer given by Mr Andriukaitis on behalf of the European Commission
Question reference: E-001576/2019

1. All information on consignments of affected meat, traded from Poland to other Member States, has been submitted through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF)(1). RASFF does not only contain the information from Poland (amounts, coordinates of business of destination) but also the follow up in the Member States of destination (actions taken, possible further distribution etc).

2. The measures are taken by the competent authorities of the affected Member States and communicated to the Commission through RASFF. Based on the information received, all affected consignments were taken out from the market. The Commission was closely involved in solving this issue with the Polish and other involved authorities.
