The Commission is currently assessing allegations that Honeywell has abused its dominant position with respect to patents covering the use of the refrigerant gas 1234yf in car air conditioning systems.

As regards ongoing cases, the Commission has a general policy of non-disclosure of the investigative steps that it takes in order not to prejudge the outcome of its investigations and to safeguard the confidentiality of the information it receives.

Therefore, at this stage, the Commission is not in a position to provide more detail regarding the status of this case or to comment on the possible outcome.
