Question for written answer E-001853-19
to the Commission
Rule 130
Ivo Belet (PPE)

Subject:  Follow-up question concerning the humanitarian situation in refugee camps in Greece
 Answer in writing

In the answer to Question E-000435/2019 on the humanitarian situation in Greece’s refugee camps, the Commission stated that Greece had received more than EUR 2 billion in EU funding for migration management since 2015 and that a financial plan for further planning and deployment of these funds had been drawn up in early 2019.

1. Can the Commission indicate how much of this European funding Greece has actually used to date?

2. Can the Commission indicate what concrete measures have already been taken using this budget to improve the situation in the refugee camps in Greece, and what future measures the financial plan provides for?

3. Can the Commission provide an overview of the migration management measures for which these EU funds have been used in Greece so far?
