Parliamentary questions

31 July 2019
E-002501-19
Question for written answer E-002501-19
to the Commission (Vice-President/High Representative)
Rule 138
Matt Carthy (GUE/NGL)

 Subject:  VP/HR — Palestine

On 31 July 2019, Israel approved the construction of 6 000 new homes for Israeli settlers on land that would form part of the Palestinian State under the two‐state solution. Land‐grabs such as this, which are illegal under international law, are a major barrier to any prospect of a sustainable peace accord.

Can the High Representative provide details on how she intends to challenge Israel to reverse such a disgraceful decision as this?
