Croatia's accession to the Schengen area

Following a three-year evaluation process, the Commission has stated that Croatia now meets the conditions governing accession to the Schengen area.

Given the Schengen system’s significant failings in the areas of security and irregular immigration, and the misgivings rightly voiced by many Member States, is it not time for the Commission to rule out once and for all any further accessions to the Schengen area?
