Question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 138
Tomáš Zdechovský
Subject: Standardisation of nozzles on LPG pumps

Every country appears to have different types of LPG fuel dispensers. In the Czech Republic, the so-called ‘Italian type’ nozzle is in use, and it is fitted to your vehicle when LPG equipment is installed. However, if you are traveling to another country within the EU, you may come across fuel dispensers with different types of fillers. Therefore, it is necessary to use reducers for LPG fillers. Given the huge diversity of these fuel dispensers, could the Commission say whether, in the spirit of facilitating the free movement of persons, it plans to standardise the nozzles of LPG fuel dispensers?
