Question for written answer P-000795-18
to the Council
Rule 130
Jill Seymour (EFDD)

Following the result of the referendum on Thursday 23 June 2016 when the UK voted to leave the EU and the implementation of Article 50 on Wednesday 29 March 2017 which will mean that the UK will leave the EU on Friday 29 March 2019, the UK will, in EU terms, become a third country.

1) What proposals does the Council have to ensure that flights from the UK to the EU will still benefit from the same arrangements as at present?

2) Can the Council confirm that any future UK-EU aviation agreement will be dealt with in a prompt manner and treated as a priority issue?

3) Can it confirm that there will be no obstruction to flights from the UK to the EU should the conclusion of any aviation agreement between the UK and the EU take place after Friday 29 March 2019?
