P-001288-18
Question for written answer P-001288-18
to the Commission
Rule 130
Raymond Finch (EFDD)

 Subject:  Draft Withdrawal Agreement
 Answer in writing

Chapter III of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland contained in the Draft Withdrawal Agreement published by Michel Barnier on 28 February 2018 includes provisions which, inter alia, concern the free movement of goods and which consequently amount to permanent trade relations between the EU and Northern Ireland.

Does this mean that it is the Commission’s view that permanent trade relations can be agreed under the article 50 procedure of the Treaty on European Union?
