Ukraine will soon be entering the fifth year of a conflict that is affecting 4.4 million people. The numbers are terrifying — according to UN sources, over 2 530 civilians have been killed and 9 000 injured. Thousands of homes, hundreds of hospitals, schools and water and electricity facilities have been damaged.
What measures does the VP/HR intend to take in order to help end a conflict that continues to oblige the 4.4 million Ukrainians affected by it to endure suffering on a daily basis and to make impossible choices? This crisis is happening in Europe’s backyard.
In particular, what does the VP/HR intend to do in order to help the suffering civilians?
