Subject:  Commission spending on online advertising on Facebook
 Answer in writing

In the wake of the data scandal involving Facebook and the Cambridge Analytica firm, some companies have stopped paying for online advertising on Facebook until Facebook improves its data protection settings.

How much did the Commission spend on online advertising between 1 November 2014 and 30 April 2018, paid either directly to Facebook or indirectly via agencies, in order to place adverts on Facebook (in the form of a table please, broken down by month and policy area concerned)?

How much did the Commission representations in the Member States spend on online advertising between 1 November 2014 and 30 April 2018, paid either directly to Facebook or indirectly via agencies, in order to place adverts on Facebook (in the form of a table please, broken down by year and Commission representation concerned)?

How much money was spent on online advertising paid either directly to Facebook or indirectly via agencies, in order to place adverts on Facebook for the Facebook pages of Members of the Commission between 1 November 2014 and 30 April 2018 (in the form of a table please, broken down by month and Member of the Commission concerned)?
