P-000596-19
Question for written answer P-000596-19
to the Commission (Vice-President/High Representative)
Rule 130
Barbara Lochbihler (Verts/ALE)

Subject:  VP/HR — Proportion of women in management positions in the European External Action Service (EEAS)
 Answer in writing
With regard to the EU Gender Action Plan 2016-2020 (GAP II), the Council conclusions of 26 November 2018 on GAP II, the EEAS’s annual human resources reports and the EEAS Gender and Equal Opportunities Strategy 2018-2023 of November 2017, a number of questions arise:
1. How has the proportion of women in management positions in the EEAS and the EU Delegations (Head of EU Delegation, Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General, Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, Director and Head of Unit) evolved per category of management position, in numbers and percentages per year, since the creation of the EEAS on 1 January 2011?
2. What measures has the EEAS taken to ensure gender balance in management positions since 1 January 2011?
3. What proportion of women in EU delegations have taken part in political dialogues since 2011, per dialogue?
