Question for written answer P-000859-19
to the Commission
Rule 130
Jarosław Wałęsa (PPE)

Subject:  The Single Telecoms Market Regulation and its monitoring by the Commission
 Answer in writing

In view of the negotiated agreement and the introduction of the ‘Roam Like at Home’ mechanism, a new model for the billing of retail roaming services which consists in aligning prices for roaming services with domestic prices, prices for calls, text messages or data transfer should be fixed throughout the European Union from 15 June 2017. Unfortunately, despite the fact that almost two years have passed, some operators in Poland have not yet adapted to the new European law.

In this context, we are receiving alarming reports from Polish citizens, which is why I would like to put the following question to the Commission:

Is the Commission monitoring the implementation of this regulation in Poland, in accordance with the scope of its powers?
