P-001390-19
Question for written answer P-001390-19
to the Council
Rule 130
Ole Christensen (S&D)

Subject:  Sponsorship of the Council Presidency
 Answer in writing

As has been the case with previous presidencies, a number of companies have been named as commercial partners of the Romanian Presidency of the Council(1). All these companies are affected by EU rules in one way or another.

1. What are the conditions for these partnerships? 2. What do the companies get out of entering into partnership agreements with the presidency? 3. Why does the EU allow such partnerships when there is an immediate risk of a patently obvious conflict of interest?
