to the Commission
Rule 130
Matt Carthy (GUE/NGL)

Subject:  Ban on lead shot bullets in wetland areas

It has been reported that in February 2019, the REACH committee discussed a proposal to ban the use of lead shot bullets in wetland areas. Can the Commission clarify at what stage this legislation is currently at and provide a timeline of the next stages in the process of this legislation?

Can the Commission also clarify when it expects Parliament and the Council to have an opportunity to scrutinise the proposed legislation?
