P-004246/2019
Priority question for written answer
to the Commission
Rule 138
Tomas Tobé
 Subject: Organised property crime

Freedom of movement is a great success for the EU. But while it creates freedom, prosperity and cohesion in Europe, it is also exploited by organised crime. Weapons, drugs and stolen goods flow all too easily across our borders, and it is especially noticeable how organised property crime groups exploit freedom of movement within the EU.

What concrete actions, including any legislative proposals, will the Commission take to prevent freedom of movement from being exploited by these property crime groups, and will Europol be given an extended mandate to tackle this growing problem?
