On behalf of Parliament, the President expressed his condolences to the President of the Republic of France, François Hollande, for the victims of the violent storms which had hit the South of France the previous week and stressed the importance of the simultaneous presence at the European Parliament of the President of the Republic of France and the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
