The final draft agenda for the May II 2018 plenary sittings (PE 621.808/PDOJ) had been distributed and the following changes had been proposed (Rule 149a):

Monday

No changes.

Tuesday

The President announced that the Conference of Presidents had approved the request from the Special Committee on Terrorism (TERR) to extend the duration of its mandate by two months.

This extension was needed in order to allow the TERR Committee to fulfil its mandate.

The decision would be put to the vote on Tuesday and would be deemed adopted if no objection to it was raised.

Request from the PPE Group to postpone the vote on the report by Pavel Svoboda, Richard Corbett (A8-0170/2018) Interpretation and implementation of the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Law-Making (item 20 on the final draft agenda) to Wednesday.

The following spoke: Pavel Svoboda, on behalf of the PPE Group, to move the request.

Parliament approved the request.

Request from the Verts/ALE Group to wind up the debate on the statement by the Commission on US tariffs in the steel and aluminium sector and the EU's response (item 78 on the final draft agenda) with the tabling of a motion for a resolution, which would be put to the vote on Thursday.

The following spoke: Ska Keller, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, to move the request, and Alessia Maria Mosca against the request.

Parliament rejected the request by RCV (54 in favour, 233 against, 9 abstentions).

Request from the GUE/NGL Group to include as the third item in the afternoon statements from the Council and Commission on the measures for implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (without a resolution).

The following spoke: Cornelia Ernst, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to move the request, and Victor Boştinaru, against the request.

Parliament rejected the request by RCV (73 in favour, 215 against, 4 abstentions).

Request from the GUE/NGL Group to include as the fifth item on the agenda in the afternoon an oral question to the Council on the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

Parliament rejected the request by RCV (142 in favour, 151 against, 5 abstentions).

Wednesday

Request from the GUE/NGL Group to include as the second item on the agenda in the afternoon statements from the Council and Commission on the 'Excessive use of force against refugees and migrants: the case of Mawda'.

The following spoke: Gabriele Zimmer, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to move the request, and Tomáš Zdechovský, against the request.

Parliament rejected the request by RCV (128 in favour, 149 against, 13 abstentions).

Request from the S&D Group to include as the third item on the agenda in the afternoon an oral question to the Commission on the 'Extension of the scope of Chapter I of the Brussels IIa Regulation to include registered partnerships (recast)' (without a resolution).

The following spoke: Evelyne Gebhardt, on behalf of the S&D Group, to move the request.

Parliament approved the request by RCV (150 in favour, 114 against, 10 abstentions).

Request from the PPE Group to include as the second item on the agenda in the afternoon the report by Elisabetta Gardini (A8-0180/2018) on the 'Union Civil Protection Mechanism'.
