12. Request for consultation of the European Economic and Social Committee on (Rule 137(2))

The President announced that, pursuant to Rule 137(2), he had received a request from the FEMM Committee to consult the European Economic and Social Committee to request its opinion on 'The situation of Roma women'.

That request for consultation of the European Economic and Social Committee would be deemed to have been approved unless, within 24 hours, a political group or Members reaching at least the low threshold requested that it be put to the vote.
