7. Negotiations ahead of Parliament's first reading (Rule 69c)

The President announced the decisions by several committees to enter into interinstitutional negotiations pursuant to Rule 69c (1):

—   TRAN Committee, on the basis of the report on Proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the interoperability of electronic road toll systems and facilitating cross-border exchange of information on the failure to pay road fees in the Union (recast) (COM(2017)0280 – C8-0173/2017 – 2017/0128(COD)). Rapporteur: Massimiliano Salini (A8-0199/2018)

—   INTA Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for screening of foreign direct investments into the European Union (COM(2017)0487 - C8-0309/2017 -2017/0224(COD)). Rapporteur: Franck Proust (A8-0198/2018)

—   TRAN Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 1999/62/EC on the charging of heavy goods vehicles for the use of certain infrastructure (COM(2017)0275 – C8-0171/2017 – 2017/0114(COD)). Rapporteur: Christine Revault d'Allonnes Bonnefoy (A8-0202/2018)

—    TRAN Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2006/22/EC as regards enforcement requirements and laying down specific rules with respect to Directive 96/71/EC and Directive 2014/67/EU for posting drivers in the road transport sector (COM(2017)0278 – C8-0170/2017 – 2017/0121(COD)). Rapporteur: Merja Kyllönen (A8-0000/0000)

—    TRAN Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 as regards minimum requirements on maximum daily and weekly driving times, minimum breaks and daily and weekly rest periods and Regulation (EU) No 165/2014 as regards positioning by means of tachographs. (COM(2017)0277 - C8-0167/2017 -2017/0122(COD)). Rapporteur: Wim van de Camp (A8-0205/2018)   

—    TRAN Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009 and Regulation (EC) No 1072/2009 with a view to adapting them to developments in the sector (COM(2017)0281 – C8-0169/2017 – 2017/0123(COD)). Rapporteur: Ismail Ertug (A8-0204/2018)

—    IMCO Committee, on the basis of the report on the Proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on a framework for the free flow of non-personal data in the European Union (COM(2017)0495 – C8-0312/2017 – 2017/0228(COD)). Rapporteur: Corazza Bildt Anna Maria (A8-0201/2018)

In accordance with Rule 69c(2), Members or political group(s) reaching at least the medium threshold could request in writing, before midnight on Tuesday 12 June 2018, that decisions to enter into negotiations be put to the vote.

Negotiations may start at any time after that deadline has expired if no request for a vote in Parliament on the decision to enter into negotiations has been made.
