Council and Commission statements: Conclusions of the European Council meeting of 17 and 18 October 2018 (2018/2772(RSP))

Donald Tusk (President of the European Council) and Frans Timmermans (First Vice-President of the Commission) made the statements.

The President restated Parliament's priorities, which he had presented at the European Council meeting.

The following spoke: Françoise Grossetête, on behalf of the PPE Group, Udo Bullmann, on behalf of the S&D Group, Syed Kamall, on behalf of the ECR Group, Guy Verhofstadt, on behalf of the ALDE Group, Udo Bullmann following the speech by Syed Kamall, Syed Kamall to apologise to Udo Bullmann, who returned to the speech by Syed Kamall (the President noted that Syed Kamall had offered an apology), Marek Jurek on the speech by Udo Bullmann (the President recalled his position), Philippe Lamberts, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, Gabriele Zimmer, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, Nigel Farage, on behalf of the EFDD Group (the President reminded Members that speakers must respect the positions and values of their colleagues), Nicolas Bay, on behalf of the ENF Group, and Sotirios Zarianopoulos, non-attached Member.
