Euroopan parlamentti on järjestänyt keskustelujen simultaanitulkkauksen ainoastaan kokouksen osanottajien välisen viestinnän helpottamiseksi. Nauhoitettu tulkkaus ei ole missään tapauksessa todistusvoimainen.


Ainoastaan alkuperäinen puhe tai puheen tarkistettu kirjallinen käännös ovat todistusvoimaisia.


Jos simultaanitulkkaus ja alkuperäinen puhe (tai puheen tarkistettu kirjallinen käännös) eroavat toisistaan, alkuperäinen puhe (tai puheen tarkistettu kirjallinen käännös) on ensisijainen.


Nauhoitetun tulkkauksen käyttäminen muussa kuin jäljempänä mainitussa tarkoituksessa on ehdottomasti kielletty ilman Euroopan parlamentin nimenomaista lupaa.
