Interpretarea simultană a dezbaterilor este asigurată de Parlamentul European numai în scopul facilitării comunicării între participanţii la reuniune şi nu constituie în niciun caz o înregistrare autentică a dezbaterilor.


Numai discursul original sau traducerea scrisă şi revizuită a discursului sunt considerate autentice.


În cazul unor diferenţe între interpretarea simultană şi discursul original (sau traducerea scrisă şi revizuită a discursului), discursul original (sau traducerea scrisă şi revizuită) prevalează.


Fără autorizarea expresă a Parlamentului European, utilizarea înregistrării interpretării în alte scopuri decât cel menţionat mai sus este strict interzisă.
