Če se simultano tolmačenje in govor v izvirniku (ali pregledani pisni prevod govora v izvirniku) razlikujeta, je verodostojen govor v izvirniku (ali pregledani pisni prevod govora v izvirniku).


Uporaba zapisa tolmačenja za namene, ki se razlikujejo od zgoraj opisanih namenov, je strogo prepovedana, razen če je Evropski parlament izdal izrecno dovoljenje.
