All eyes on Paris: Countdown to COP21

Leading up to the COP21 Climate Conference in Paris, The European Parliament's Office in Denmark joined up with the French Embassy in Copenhagen and New Europe (Nyt Europa) in hosting an event to highlight the critical issues at stake.

At this event we discussed what will be at stake at the Paris summit.
The French Ambassador to Denmark, François Zimeray and Mercan-Ellen Nielsen, Danish lead negotiator introduced the event with an outline of the issues at stake.
The scientific point of view was presented by our key note speaker, Dr. Jean Jouzel, Vice President of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Dr. Jouzel is a prominent French climatologist and glaciologist, renowned for his research on paleoclimatology and Greenland.
His intervention was put into perspective by a highly qualified panel:

Bjørn Bedsted from the Danish Board of Technology foundation.
Martin Lidegaard; MP and former Minister of Climate and Energy as well as Foreign Affairs.
Steen Gade; Chariman of Nyt Euruopa, former MP and former Director of the Danish Environment Agency.
