The EYE2018: a real life and digital experience

Over 8000 young people are attending and participating in the EYE2018. For them, and for people who couldn’t make it, but want to experience the event too, there are a number of ways to interact digitally with the EYE. Read on to discover them!

With 300 activities over two busy days, the aim of the EYE2018 is to combine the life experience of actively debating the world's issues with the possibility for online, digital interaction. In order to achieve this, the event is offering a number of digital solutions, both to those at the event and those who were not able to make it.

The top activities will be streamed on Facebook Live (check the schedule in this article) and on the European Parliament Multimedia website, so that as many people as possible can get involved in the discussion. For those watching the live stream, the moderators will also take your questions for the speakers, so even those not in the room at the time will be able to have their say on the topics which affect them.

Hashtags are now a part of everyday life: at the EYE, too, they will be ever-present. The #EYE2018 hashtag will be the main point of contact on all social media channels for anyone who wants to voice their opinion, ask questions online or simply checking what's happening.

The newly-launched EYE2018 app is also free to download on the App Store or Google Play for anyone who is interested. The app comes with a number of great features, it will for example offer an ideas wall for participants to share their ideas about the topics at the event.

The EYE team will be reporting live on the event through their Facebook accounts (page, event, group), Twitter and Instagram channels. In short: so many possibilities for interaction with the EYE during and after the event, for those at and also absent from the event!

Last but not least, are you looking for some of the pictures and videos taken at the event? They will be uploaded live on the Multimedia website dedicated to the EYE2018.

All the opportunities for digital interaction with the EYE can be found via the links on the right side of the page.
