Getting around Strasbourg

Practical details
Getting around the city and its surroundings is easier than you thought! There is a wide range of alternative modes of transport to minimise car use, making the City greener and more enjoyable for everyone. You can hop on a tram or bus, take a bike or scooter or walk.

Public Transport

The city of Strasbourg and its suburbs have in place a highly efficient tram and bus public transport system. The local public transport operator, Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS), offers easy and fast connections.

You will find plenty of practical information on the CTS website (link below) about:

- Tram and bus lines (network maps, stops)

- Times

- Tickets and passes

- Access to transport for persons with reduced mobility

- How to access buses and trams with bikes or pets

The average cost for one CTS ticket (valid for 1 hour) is 1,80€

A tram stop (Parlement Européen) is located right in front of the parliament and two other tram stations (Wacken and Droits de l'Homme) are situated within a walking distance from the parliament.

A special CTS subsidised ticket valid for the duration of the event will also be available for participants. More information about how to request such ticket will be available soon.

Bike and scooter sharing

Both bike and scooter sharing are convenient, ecological andcheap! The City of Strasbourg and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg offer a bikesharing service: Vélhop. You can find more information about this service andother private rental services at the links below.

A parking space is foreseen near the outdoor Yo! Villagefor bicycles and scooters.

The average prices for renting bikes are around 6€ per day for a regular bike and around 12€ per day for a tandem/trailer bike or an electric bike
