How much does it cost to participate in Euroscola?

The European Parliament offers participating schools a significant grant to cover their travel and accommodation costs. The exact amount of the grant varies, depending on a number of different factors. Please contact the EP Information Office in your country for more information about the grant.

Who makes the travel arrangements for Strasbourg?

Each school is responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Please consult the Practical Information page for a list of nearby airports, railway stations and hostels and other information to help schools plan their trip.

Who facilitates the Euroscola programme in Strasbourg?

Officials from the European Parliament, together with a team of professional animators, will lead the students through the day. Teachers will have the opportunity during the day to meet their colleagues from other countries and talk with Parliament officials.

What are the working languages at the Euroscola day in Strasbourg?

The working languages are English, French and German. Simultaneous interpretation is provided by the Parliament in the plenary sessions taking place in the Chamber, but not during the committee sessions in the afternoon, when English is often the common language used.

Who is the target audience of Euroscola?

Euroscola is intended for students from the European Union in secondary school between the ages of 16-18 years old. The European Parliament also organises on occasion EuroMedScola or EuroNestScola.

Do students have the opportunity to meet Members of the European Parliament at Euroscola?

Members of the European Parliament are invited to speak with students, but depending on their agenda, there is no guarantee for any particular Euroscola session that an MEP will be present.
