Landmines Information Day -
'The European Parliament for a Mine-Free World'
Thursday 16 June 2005, Brussels

The first joint hearing of the Development, the International Trade and the Foreign Affairs Committees- via the Subcommittee on Security and Defence!
Guests include Jody Williams, Nobel peace laureate 1997 and a variety of government, international organisation and NGO representatives brought together to raise awareness on the fight against landmines.
Events get under way at 9am in the Hemicycle and reconvenes at 3pm.
At 2.30pm there will be the screening of a short film in PHS 3C50.
Don't forget to visit the Yehudi Menuhin room (PHS, 1st floor) throughout the day, where a wide variety of exhibits will be displayed, including examples of landmine shells as well as some dramatic photos from mine-affected areas.
