10 Years of the EU's largest accession, Dublin Castle, 6 May 2014


To mark the tenth anniversary of the accession to the European Union of 10 Member States, a conference will be held at the Dublin Castle Conference Centre on Tuesday 6th May 2014.   Entitled "Marking 10 Years of the EU’s largest accession: Reflections on the Future Political, Economic and Security Challenges of the European Union", the primary objective of the conference is to create a forum bringing together policy makers, government officials, academics and experts to reflect on the past, enhance the dialogue on the present status of the EU and debate its future direction.

Among the topics to be discussed will be contemporary and future perspectives of the European integration process with special regard to the political and security framework and the economic environment.
