Citizens' Agora: 6-8 November, Brussels - Your chance to participate!
The European Parliament’s Citizens’ Agora on Youth Unemployment aims to gather young people from all over Europe to discuss the current challenges in Europe’s employment market. Two young people from each Member State of the EU, aged between 18 and 30, will be invited to this conference - one who is employed and one who is unemployed.
Are you interested in participating? Deadline extended to 6 September 2013
The European Parliament has been organising consultations with the civil society under the title of Citizens’ Agora since 2007. The Agora is an open discussion space where citizens from all over Europe come together and at the end present a common position on the topic.
Over three days, participants are invited to share their experiences, debate with other young people from Europe and come up with recommendations for Europe’s politicians to tackle youth unemployment. They will debate with participants from the other Member States, with the assistance of experts on a number of specific topics related to youth unemployment. The recommendations coming out of this Citizens’ Agora will be communicated to European decision makers.
The Citizens’ Agora will take place in Brussels from Wednesday 6 November midday to Friday 8 November 2013 midday.
A social programme is foreseen in the evenings, including a visit to the Parlamentarium, the European Parliament’s interactive visitors' centre.
Deadline for applications: 6 September
