European Election Event, Portlaoise, 27 January 2014

This special European Election event "Post Troika:  Where now for Ireland in 2014?" will take place on Monday 27 January at 7.00 pm at the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise.  This is the third event in the series and will see keynote speaker Mary O'Rourke, former Government Minister interviewed by Claire O'Brien from Midlands Radio 3.  There will also be a panel of experts including a representative of the European Parliament Office in Ireland. This is a free event but booking is essential.  

 

Do you have questions about the EU? Do you want to know more about the role of the European Parliament and the upcoming elections? Would you like to share and discuss your thoughts?    A series of events is being hosted by Europe Direct Information Centres (EDICs), located in eight public libraries around the country. This is the third event in the series and takes place at 7.00 pm at the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise and will be chaired by Claire O'Brien from Midlands Radio 3 with keynote speaker Mary O'Rourke, former Government Minister and a panel of experts.  This is an opportunity to hear their views and aspirations for the EU, for you to ask questions, share your thoughts and participate in the discussion before the European Parliament elections take place from 22nd-25th May 2014.  All events are open to the public, admission is free and refreshments will be served on the day.
