European Parliament at the Charter of European Rural Communities in Cashel

On Friday 1st July, the European Parliament Office in Ireland manned a stand at the five-day Charter of European Rural Communities which this year took place in Cashel, Co. Tipperary.  Staff members answered the many questions which visitors to the stand had for them and handed out maps and information about the European Parliament.  Fine Gael MEP Seán Kelly and Minister of State for European Affairs Lucinda Creighton TD were among the visitors to the stand.

Over 300 delegates from 27 towns (one from each EU Member State) participated in a series of conferences, meetings and cultural events throughout the festival.
