Students visit EU stand at Young Scientists Exhibition

From Thursday, 14 January until Saturday, 16 January the European Parliament Office in Ireland and the European Commission Representation in Ireland are participating in the 2010 Young Scientists Exhibition at the RDS in Dublin.

Students visiting the EU stand can find out more about EU climate change policy and can try out one of the 'energy bikes', on which they can pedal to produce energy to power a lightbulb or a computer!

At 3.30pm on Thursday and Friday, Dr Stephen Langrell of the European Commission, winner at the 1986 Young Scientists Exhibition, will speak about his work and the role of the EU's Joint Research Centre in Seville at the Exhibition's 'Ecotheatre'.
