The Lux Film Prize

The European Parliament LUX FILM PRIZE casts an annual spotlight on films that go to the heart of European public debate. Films selected for the competition focus on some of the main social and political issues of the day and, as such, contribute to building a stronger European identity. 

LUX Prize 2018 Winner

The winner of the 2018 European Parliament LUX Prize is Benedikt Erlingsson’s "Woman at War", an energetic, environmental-themed and feminist comedy-drama about a woman who declares war on the local aluminium industry in the Highlands of Iceland. The runners-up Styx by Wolfgang Fischer and The Other Side of Everything by Mila Turajlic were screened at the 2018 Cork Film Festival.
