Westside Library, Galway , 30 January 2014

Do you want to learn more about the European Union,  its relevance to everyday life and its impact on Ireland?   Do you have questions on the role of the European Parliament and the upcoming elections which are taking place on 23 May?   A series of events being hosted by Europe Direct Information Centres (EDICs), located in eight public libraries around the country, will give you the opportunity.  This is the third event in the series and takes place in Westside Library, Galway from 6.00 pm-9.00 pm.  Chaired by Páidí Ó Líonaird TG4 with keynote speaker Mary O'Rourke, former Government Minister, there will also be an expert panel which will include a representative of the European Parliament Office in Ireland and Professor Ronan Long, NUIG.   Open to the public.  Admission free.
