Briefing on the EU Budget, 11 April 2017

The European Parliament Office in Ireland is holding a briefing on the budget of the EU entitled "The Budget of the European Union in 2018 and Beyond" on Tuesday 11 April at Europe House, Dublin.  British MEP Richard Ashworth will present the current position regarding the preparation of the EU’s 2018 budget as well as possible future implications for funding the EU post Brexit. 


This event takes place on Tuesday 11 April at 12h30, Europe House, 12-14 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2. 


The European Union is preparing its budget for 2018 and is considering budget options for subsequent years. The departure of the United Kingdom will have profound implications for the EU’s budget and the numerous programmes that are supported by the Union.


Richard Ashworth MEP is a member of the Budgets Committee of the European Parliament and Rapporteur on the European Parliament’s 2018 Budget.  Mr Ashworth is also a member of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.
