Who's Who in the new Parliament?


MEPs elected Martin Schulz as the new president of the European Parliament. Ireland’s Mairead McGuinness Fine Gael, (EPP) is one of the 14 vice-presidents also elected on Tuesday. Five quaestors, responsible for administrative and financial matters, will be elected on Wednesday 3 July.  The president, 14 vice-presidents and five quaestors - together known as the bureau - are all elected for a period of two-and-a-half years.
