Your turn: advise the Parliament on how the private sector can foster development
Get involved: Nirj Deva, a UK member of the ECR group, is inviting everyone to contribute to his report on how the private sector could help to foster development worldwide. Starting today, the report will be discussed by the European Parliament's LinkedIn group. Join the discussion and help Deva write his final report.
How it works
The #AdviseEP project is about how to get the private sector involved in development. It will consist of a series of discussions during which LinkedIn members are able to directly exchange views with Deva as he prepares his report.
Through our and Deva’s posts, everyone will be able to follow his day-to-day work on this report and give their opinion on the issues at hand. Deva will respond to comments and answer questions all the way up to the plenary vote. You can contribute already by clicking on the link for the LinkedIn post on the right
The EP's development committee organises a workshop on how the private sector can help to boost sustainable development on Thursday 5 March from 10.00 to 12.30 CET. The workshop can be followed live online.
Previous collaboration effort
It is not the first time the Parliament organises such an initiative. Last year Alejandro Cercas, a member of the S&D group, invited people to contribute via LinkedIn to his report on the social impact the Troika had in EU countries in financial difficulties.
