Students from Meán Scoil Nua an Leith Triúigh visited the European Parliament as part of Euroscola Day on Thursday, 26 November. The school is one of the smallest secondary schools in Ireland and is situated in Castlegregory, Co. Kerry.

David Parsons, John Nolan, Shane Costello, Justin Brennan, Keith Hennelly, Colin Hanley, Michael Doyle, Jason Slattery, Keelan McNamara, Stephan Commins and Brian O'Reilly were accompanied by their teacher Pat Keane in Strasbourg where they discussed a range of subjects including the environment, democracy, innovation, social policy and Europe's future.

The 'Graduate Online Youth Quiz' is a free on-line educational Quiz for primary and post primary students throughout Ireland. 30 winners from schools throughout Ireland participated in the European Parliament's Euroscola programme in Strasbourg on 16 March 2009. In February 2009, 24 students from Ireland's 32 counties participated in the European Parliament's Euroscola programme. These students were the 2009 winners of the Rotary Youth Leadership Development Competition and were participating in a week-long Leadership Development Programme (LDP) as part of their prize.
