Meath Co. Council Schools Debate 2012

A lively debate was held at the European Food and Veterinary Centre at Grange, Co. Meath, today.  St. Patrick's Classical School, Navan, proposed the motion 'Ireland's economic survival is entirely dependent on being part of the European Union'.

However, it was O'Carolan College, Nobber, opposing the motion, who took first prize.  Cllr. Eoin Holmes, Cathaoirleach, Meath Co. Council, presented the prizes and the winning school will participate in Euroscola at the European Parliament in Strasbourg in the autumn.  Well done to the winning team, Barry Cassidy, Captain, and Sarah Clarke, Claire Reilly and Conor Kiernan.
