Reports - as rapporteur 
A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

. – Oggi ho votato a favore del protocollo dell'accordo UE-Danimarca in merito ai criteri e ai meccanismi di determinazione dello Stato competente per l'esame di una domanda d'asilo e in merito a "Eurodac".
L'estensione alla Danimarca delle disposizioni del regolamento (UE) n. 603/2013 riguardanti le attività di contrasto consentirebbe alle autorità di contrasto di tale paese di chiedere il confronto dei dati relativi alle impronte digitali con quelli inseriti da altri Stati partecipanti e conservati nella banca dati Eurodac nel caso in cui esse intendano stabilire l'identità o ottenere ulteriori informazioni su una persona sospettata di aver commesso un reato grave o di terrorismo o su una vittima.
Consentirebbe inoltre alle autorità di contrasto di tutti gli altri Stati partecipanti, che si tratti di altri Stati membri dell'UE o di paesi associati, di chiedere il confronto dei dati relativi alle impronte digitali con quelli inseriti dalla Danimarca e conservati nella banca dati Eurodac, per le medesime finalità.

Market surveillance and compliance of products (A8-0277/2018 - Nicola Danti) IT  
 

. – Oggi ho votato a favore della proposta di regolamento che stabilisce norme e procedure per la conformità dei prodotti. Numerosi scandali recenti, come ad esempio il "dieselgate", hanno mostrato che l'esistenza di prodotti non sicuri e non conformi è ancora una realtà nel mercato dell'UE, mettendo in risalto la necessità di un coordinamento e di un'efficacia maggiori della vigilanza del mercato nell'Unione.
La presenza sul mercato di prodotti che non rispettano le normative armonizzate dell'Unione mina la fiducia che i consumatori nutrono nei confronti della qualità, della sicurezza e della compatibilità ambientale dei prodotti sul mercato, mettendo a repentaglio il corretto funzionamento del mercato unico. In questo modo è compromesso l'interesse sia pubblico che dei consumatori, mentre le imprese che rispettano le norme subiscono uno svantaggio competitivo.
L'incremento delle importazioni verso l'UE, l'accresciuta complessità delle catene di valore, il maggior quantitativo di prodotti in circolazione nel mercato unico, l'aumento delle attività di commercio online e le nuove tecnologie pongono nuove sfide per le autorità di vigilanza del mercato degli Stati membri e per le istituzioni dell'UE.
È quindi chiaro che solo una vigilanza del mercato unionale adeguata, efficace e coordinata potrebbe rispondere a tali sfide.

Promoting fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediation services (A8-0444/2018 - Christel Schaldemose) IT  
 

. – Accolgo con favore la proposta che promuove equità e trasparenza nell'economia delle piattaforme online. Vi è una chiara esigenza di fissare una serie uniforme e mirata di norme vincolanti al fine di garantire, in futuro, un contesto imprenditoriale sostenibile.
L'attuale contesto delle piattaforme online presenta diversi squilibri critici tra le piattaforme, da un lato, e gli utenti commerciali, dall'altro. Tali squilibri vanno, in ultima analisi, a scapito del consumatore, in quanto possono determinare una riduzione della concorrenza che si traduce, a sua volta, in una minore varietà dei beni e servizi offerti e in un aumento dei prezzi al consumo.
La normativa affronta in modo adeguato la mancanza di trasparenza insita in numerose piattaforme online, tuttavia fa troppo poco per risolvere il problema della mancanza di equità nello stesso contesto.
