Reports - as rapporteur 
A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

La proposta si inquadra all'interno delle disposizioni normative dirette ad aggiornare il diritto dell'Unione alla Brexit. In particolare, essa prevede delle misure per contrastare gli effetti della Brexit in materia di politica dei visti per i cittadini britannici. Alla luce delle rilevanti finalità perseguite dalla misura, mi sono espresso con voto favorevole, in quanto ritengo opportuno porre in essere, delle azioni mirate, che siano finalizzate a proteggere lo spazio senza frontiere interne ed a consentire ai cittadini britannici, di viaggiare senza obbligo di visto in Europa, anche dopo la Brexit.

Il voto ha ad oggetto la relazione annuale sugli orientamenti per le politiche degli Stati membri a favore dell'occupazione. Con riferimento all'anno in corso, la Commissione ha inteso mantenere gli stessi orientamenti previsti per il 2018. È stata adottata la procedura semplificata che non consente di emendare il testo.
Alla luce di quanto esposto, mi sono espresso con voto favorevole.

Il testo non affronta in maniera esaustiva il delicato tema degli inceneritori, pertanto non risponde adeguatamente alle istanze dei cittadini, espresse in sede di petizioni. Inoltre, non sono state accolte le richieste in merito all'esigenza di bloccare la costruzione di nuovi inceneritori.
Alla luce di quanto esposto, ho ritenuto opportuno astenermi dal voto.
