I voted in favour of this report because this will enable court proceedings to improve and be made more efficient, and guarantee the right to respect for family and private life, and the rights of the child.

I voted in favour of this report because I believe the Generalised Scheme Preferences (GSP) regulation will allow developing nations to directly benefit from the relationship with the EU while also increasing their accountability on human rights. By allowing these nations to pay little or no duties on exports to the EU, we are helping them grow economically. At the same time, we require them to implement UN and ILO standards which will protect human rights going forward.

I voted in favour of the regulation because non-performing loans (NPLs) can be a real problem if they aren’t addressed and regulated properly. This new regulation provides a guard against future build-ups of NPLs, which will preserve financial stability within the banking sector and encourage lending activity without fear of problems owing to NPLs.

I voted in favour of this regulation as protecting competition in the air transport industry is very important for not only the EU, but on a global level. Currently, there is no international framework under the World Trade Organisation or the International Civil Aviation Organisation governing competition in the industry, so it was up to us to take steps towards beneficial regulation and safeguarding. This regulation will replace the existing one, which we’ve found has a number of shortcomings.

Orientations pour le budget 2020 - Section III (A8-0172/2019 - Monika Hohlmeier) EN

I voted in favour of the guidelines for the 2020 Budget – Section III because it will contribute to creating a common, long-term vision on the future political priorities of the Union and provide European added value to our work.

L'équilibre homme-femmes dans les nominations dans le domaine des affaires économiques et monétaires de l'UE (RC-B8-0171/2019, B8-0171/2019, B8-0172/2019, B8-0173/2019, B8-0174/2019, B8-0175/2019) EN

I voted in favour of the gender balance in EU economic and monetary affairs’ nominations so that there can be equal representation with regard to economic and monetary affairs in the EU.

Changement climatique (B8-0184/2019, B8-0188/2019, RC-B8-0195/2019, B8-0195/2019, B8-0198/2019, B8-0199/2019, B8-0200/2019, B8-0201/2019, B8-0202/2019, B8-0203/2019) EN

I voted in favour for the resolution concerning climate change so that the EU can work together to protect the environment and combat climate change. Climate change is a major threat not just to the EU, but to the entire world, so the EU must do all it can to address the issue of climate change in a successful way.

. ‒ I voted in favour of this proposal as a part of the contingency measures to be taken in case no Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and the UK is agreed. The benefits of the Union General Export Authorisation include EU-wide uniform application of controls on certain dual-use items, protection of EU and international security, and the maintenance of UK compliance with international commitments.

. ‒ I voted in favour of the continuation of ongoing learning mobility activities under the Erasmus+ programme in the context of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU in order to allow students taking part in this programme to be able to finish out their semester and benefit fully from the opportunity to learn or train abroad.

. ‒ I voted in favour of the regulation on certain aspects of aviation safety with regard to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union because it seeks to avoid significant social and economic problems caused by disruptions to the use of aviation products, parts and appliances in the EU resulting from the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.
