MEPs to review security and defence policy options with Mogherini

Parliament holds its annual debate on the main lines of the EU's foreign, security and defence policies with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first strategic review since last year's political and security upheavals on the Union's eastern border.

MEPs will pass a resolution later in the year based on Ms Mogherini's report to Parliament in which they will evaluate EU foreign, security and defence policy in 2014 and propose new lines of action.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, they will debate the specific cases of Ukraine and Egypt with Ms Mogherini. This will follow a debate on Libya on Tuesday afternoon. On Thursday, Parliament will vote on three separate resolutions on these three countries.
